Meet Dr. Caroline Thomas
Two of Dr. Thomas’ sons had undiagnosed tongue-ties, one of which led to years of feeding struggles, sleep and growth issues, and the need for speech therapy. After that experience, she vowed to open Serenity Tongue-Tie Center to help ease the frustration for other parents who, like herself, are often at their wits end not knowing what to do.
A native of Hartsville, South Carolina, Dr. Thomas has had a passion for dentistry and oral health care since God placed it on her heart in the third grade. After working hard to achieve her dream, Dr. Thomas has practiced family and cosmetic dentistry in Lexington, SC, for over 12 years. She received her Bachelors of Science from Clemson University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from MUSC in Charleston. She furthered her training in St. Petersburg, FL, by completing a one-year residency program where she gained invaluable experience with cosmetic and implant dentistry, as well as complex full-mouth dental care.
Dr. Thomas greatly values the importance of continually learning the best and most modern techniques and also writes articles for major dental publications and travels nationally teaching other medical professionals. She has achieved her Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as in the International College of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Thomas is a faculty member for the American Academy of Facial Esthetics with whom she teaches monthly across the United States.
Over the years, Dr. Thomas has traveled to Trinidad, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Kenya on dental mission trips. She also enjoys singing with the worship team at Mt. Horeb church, reading, wakeboarding, snowboarding, pursuing health and fitness, and spending time with her family and three sons, Levi, Micah, and Canaan.
